edinburgh weekly classes and sunday workshops take place at gathering essence studio, central edinburgh (map). a sensitively refurbished drill hall, gathering essence is a beautiful, dedicated practice space, purpose designed for movement and meditation. it is comfortable, welcoming, spacious and warm, with an underheated oak floor and a wood burning stove.
i have equipped the studio fully for yoga and restorative yoga; all equipment is provided - although some folks prefer to bring their own mat; feel free. the studio is comfortably warm, but warm socks and a long sleeved top layer are a good idea for restoratives

sunday workshops edinburgh
sunday workshops in restorative yoga and yoga nidra make their focus being more than doing, and allow time to immerse ourselves in the nourishment of these practices. the movement practice making up the the first half of sunday afternoon workshops is designed to gently settle, soften and refresh, preparing the body to drop into the stillness of either restorative yoga, or yoga nidra. on sundays, i often give a bit of context with a brief introduction to an aspect of the practice. numbers are kept small to allow for a pleasant sufficiency of space, props, and help from me.
